Kent Scheuler

    Kent Scheuler, senior vice president, Managed Services, leads technical project and production management delivery services for CernerWorks™. Scheuler’s teams manage technical delivery services for remote-hosted, client-hosted and Cerner’s own internal organizations. His team focuses on project implementation, ongoing production management and consulting.

    Scheuler joined Cerner in 1988 as a systems engineer, installing Cerner Classic™ systems in the laboratory environment, and later the first radiology, pharmacy and multi-net installations. Other engagements for Scheuler included Cerner’s largest Classic clients: Integris Health of Oklahoma, Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, St. Jude Children’s Research and Kaiser Permanente.

    In the early 1990s, Scheuler was asked to join Cerner Engineering and focus on installation and system management tools for Cerner Millennium®. In 1993, he moved into leadership within Cerner Millennium technical sales, where he provided clients with performance tuning, disaster recovery and high availability configuration services.

    Scheuler then was named engineering manager, responsible for day-to-day management of Cerner’s performance and benchmarking labs. Promoted to director in the late 1990s, Scheuler was the Millennium host practice director of Cerner Technologies from 1997-2002. In that role, he was responsible for maintaining engineering relationships with major suppliers such as HP, IBM and Oracle.

    From 2003-2006, Scheuler was direcor of Technology Strategy for Cerner Mid-America. In this role, he was responsible for pre-sales support and consulting with Cerner clients in strategic technology navigation and roadmap development.

    Scheuler has a bachelor’s degree in physics from William Jewell College, Liberty, Mo.
