Lisa McDermott, vice president, Lighthouse, is responsible for strategies and services to support clients staying current on the latest recommendations and capabilities.

McDermott joined Cerner In 1993. She has had several roles within Cerner, including solution developer, team lead, integration architect and client strategist.

Prior to her current role, she engaged with clients to develop strategic plans and implementation roadmaps. She worked with Ascension Heath on strategy development and management of the team to standardize and deploy solutions and processes across the health system.

Currently she is responsible for the Regulatory Compliance Practice team. She connects with clients on strategies to achieve Meaningful Use, ICD-10 transitions and other regulatory compliance focus areas.

She is also responsible for developing and delivering clinical process optimization solutions for the Lighthouse organization.

McDermott was selected to participate in the Cerner Certificate in Health Care Leadership program through the University of Missouri, Kansas City, Henry W. Bloch School of Management. She completed the program with a certificate in December 2011.

She received a bachelor’s degree in computer information science from Northwest Missouri State University.
