DHMSM Progress, Population Health Innovations Highlight Cerner Presence in Booth 2032 at HIMSS16
February 11, 2016
Cerner, a global leader in health care technology and a core member of the Leidos Partnership for Defense Health (LPDH), will demonstrate how the Department of Defense (DoD) plans to use Cerner’s Model Experience to transform care delivery for the DoD’s 9.4 million beneficiaries and 325,000 health care providers, in Booth 2032 at HIMSS16, Feb. 29 – March 4, at Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.
LPDH representatives will join Cerner to discuss the off-the-shelf standardized software system and integrated solutions that will be used in the implementation. Highlights will include military-specific workflows, the first responder application, mass vaccinations and theatre synchronizations. Henry Schein, the provider of practice management software for dentists (Dentrix Enterprise), will also demonstrate the functionality and integration of its system.
“The partnership’s work across the past several months to deploy an open, secure and modern electronic health record to the DoD will have significant benefits for the entire Cerner client base and the broader health care industry,” said Zane Burke, president, Cerner. “Our collaborative effort has led to solution enhancements and data portability that are essential to achieving the free flow of information across all venues of care and creating a system that works for health care organizations working to improve the well-being of individuals and communities.”
Inside Cerner’s Booth
A broad range of services and solutions to support the clinical, financial and operational needs of organizations of every size will be featured in workflow zones that will highlight the latest health care innovations in different care settings.
HIMSS attendees can participate in a 60-minute theater experience that follows a patient’s continuum of care journey from home to an inpatient setting. The Meet Felix presentation will showcase Cerner’s latest solution developments focused on usability, actionable intelligence, interoperability and device connectivity.
Population Health Management
Cerner’s goal is to enable organizations to develop near- and long-term population health management strategies. Visitors to the Cerner booth will learn about: •
- Cerner’s population health management platform, HealtheIntentsm
- Solutions that align, engage and empower key stakeholders
- How we can support a high-performing network that enables risk modeling, referral management, performance monitoring and the ability to create new knowledge
To highlight Cerner’s commitment to robust, nationwide, patient-centric interoperability, the booth will feature demonstrations of Cerner connectivity solutions designed to enable collaboration among care providers through the exchange of such clinical data as orders, lab results, documents, images, immunizations and prescriptions.
Continuum of Care
Demonstrations will highlight how Cerner solutions help improve data exchange, communication and care coordination as patients move through care continuum into long-term care, home care and hospice, rehabilitation, and behavioral health environments.
Attendees will experience how Cerner helps independent and affiliated physician practices efficiently navigate venues of care and share data across the care continuum with integrated clinical and financial solutions and services.
Because home is the venue of care where individuals typically spend the most time, Cerner will demonstrate solutions designed to facilitate engagements with a person’s care team remotely.
Demonstrations will illustrate how Cerner’s tailored provider workflows connect physicians, patients, care teams and communities to create a comprehensive approach for care management and delivery while driving clinical, financial and operational integration.
Attendees will experience how workflows for case management, contract management, billing and collections, embedded electronic data interchange services and revenue management services enable health care systems and providers to achieve quality outcomes and pursue initiatives to reach population health management.
Interoperability Showcase™ Booth 11954
Cerner will demonstrate its CareAware iBus® device connectivity capabilities and Clinical Exchange Platform network interoperability functionality as part of an interactive showcase of cutting-edge technologies and standards-based systems that advance a vision of connected health and care.
