The diabesity epidemic

According to Dr. Mark Hyman, diabesity is a continuum of metabolic disturbances from mild blood sugar and insulin imbalances to pre-diabetes to Type 2 diabetes. This condition affects one in every two Americans (including 40 percent of normal weight people), and can lead to heart disease, cancer and high blood pressure, in addition to diabetes.
