The Health Datapalooza

Meaningful Use, ICD-10, ACOs and… health data? Indeed. Data, or, more precisely, what the use of data can empower, is a hot topic in health care. Our own Doug McNair weighed in recently on the idea of big data in health care, and there are plenty of other discussions taking place about how to innovate in this space.
In just a few days, the sold-out Health Data Initiative Forum III, otherwise known as The Health Datapalooza, kicks off. The event is a public-private collaboration that encourages innovators to utilize health data to develop applications to raise awareness of health and health system performance and spark community action to improve health. It spans a couple of days and features a number of keynotes from health care thought leaders like Atul Gawande, Kathleen Sebelius and Todd Park
Are you attending the Health Datapalooza? If so, we’d love to hear your thoughts on what you expect to from that event. If not, be sure to follow the hashtag #healthdata to keep up with the conversation on Twitter.
