Homerton Goes Live With Cerner's Remote Hosting Option (RHO)

London, — 09 July 2012 — Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today announces the successful transfer of their existing IT environment into the Cerner’s UK Data Centre. The trust, having used Cerner Millennium for its patients’ electronic patient record since 2004. Cerner now hosts the trust’s data and information remotely. In the move, Homerton has become the first UK hospital to take advantage of Cerner’s new state of the art Remote Hosting facility.

Data management, storage and security are tough problems for all industries, not least those within the health care sector. Cerner’s Remote Hosting Option (RHO) provides a secure, monitored environment; optimising system uptime, without the cost and management headaches typically associated with maintaining a fully-resourced locally-hosted HIT infrastructure.
