For more than 130 years, London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) has been committed to improving the health of the community it serves through leadership and partnership, patient-centered care, a spirit of inquiry and discovery, and a commitment to life-long learning. Providing a full complement of services, including primary, secondary, tertiary and other selected services for London and Middlesex County in Ontario, LHSC delivers world-class care to a total service area of 29,000 square kilometres.

The 1995 merger between University Hospital and Victoria Hospital established LHSC as one of Canada’s largest teaching hospitals.  This unique partnership employs a multi-facility staff of providers, clinicians and ancillary care associates that spans across LHSC’s three Ontario locations- University Campus, Victoria Campus, and South Street Campus.

With 1,200 licensed beds, more than 1 million outpatient visits per year and an affiliation with the University of Western Ontario, LHSC is consistently ranked among the top academic health centres in Canada.

A Cerner partner since 1995, LHSC has been a key player in the extending the healthcare information technology (HIT) footprint in the province and across hospital campuses. In addition, LHSC is a world leader in both robotic-assisted cardiac surgery and neurosurgery.
