As the general manager of Cerner in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, Karim Abdelhay focuses on maintaining a successful business relationship between Cerner and our clients, increasing client satisfaction, and growing Cerner’s business.
He makes an impact on Cerner and our clients by focusing on value creation, including client satisfaction and success measures. He has been successful in creating partnerships for industry performance excellence.
Karim joined Cerner in 2006 as a regional finance controller. He has held other roles with the company such as regional operations manager, where he contributed to the growth of Cerner in the Middle East, including the opening of Cerner branches in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt. He also held the role of strategic business executive, through which he built strong strategic relationships with our clients and partners, and delivered great results for Cerner’s business and clients in the region.
During his time at Cerner, Karim has played an important role in establishing Cerner’s presence in the Middle East and growing the business to be a market leader in the region. As a strong client advocate, he also led several internal initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and improve operational efficiency.
Karim is a graduate of Cairo University and has a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting. As a Certified Management Accountant and Certified Finance Management from the IMA in New Jersey, he held several voluntary roles over the years in the IMA UAE Chapter Board of Directors, including the president’s role. Karim is also a Certified Professional in Health Information Management Systems (CPHIMS) from the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
