Ricardo Vazquez

As the senior regional director for Consulting for Cerner in the Middle East and Africa, Ricardo Vazquez provides strategic leadership through the enhancement of project delivery methodologies in the Middle East and international markets. He makes an impact by delivering strong operational and financial results through the development of innovative procedures that support the Cerner vision of delivering value add to our clients through a One Cerner approach.

Ricardo joined Cerner in 2002 as a software engineer. He has held various roles, such as lead architect for Cerner Data Warehousing and Analytics, project leader for U.S. and global infrastructure, technical engagement leader in Cerner’s Advanced Technologies Group, senior technical and operations leader in DeviceWorks, and senior practice manager in Global Consulting.

Ricardo’s advancement of Consulting and Technology’s engagement methodologies has supported Cerner’s growth in the region. He has received several accolades, including recognition for ‘sustained efficiency and innovation’ for the delivery of advanced project monitoring and controlling methodologies. He has also had a significant impact in the region by innovating program management operations, establishing a successful project management office (PMO), and creating financial responsibility and a value-focused delivery approach across the associate base.

Ricardo is a graduate of the University of Texas and has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) with Project Management Institute (PMI), an ISO 27001 I.S. Management-certified lead auditor with the British Standards Institute, and is currently an EMBA candidate at the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
