Founded in 1828, the Royal Free has had a history of innovation, leading the way in many areas of healthcare: advancing the understanding of illness; taking advantage of the latest technology; developing new and better therapies; and tackling health and social inequalities. This pioneering spirit continues to be central to their approach today.
Royal Free Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (“RFL”) is one of four acute care vanguard collaborations aimed at establishing a network for shared learning and best practices using proven, world class methodologies. Their focus is to develop new arrangements for providers of acute services that can be replicated across England at scale and new models of care to improve quality, productivity and efficiency. In 2016, RFL was highlighted as a global digital exemplar (GDE) by NHS England.
