Helping women look after their wellbeing.
Every life begins with one common journey – pregnancy – and our electronic health record can be tailored to smooth your workflow. Our EHR allows healthcare providers to access up-to-the-minute clinical information for both the expectant mothers and their newborn children.
Our integrated fetal monitoring system facilitates the flow of data, from heartbeats to contractions, across medical devices, supporting the display needs of clinicians both in an acute and outpatient setting. The data is incorporated directly into the EHR, with a mobile viewing application also available.
Using feedback from our clients, industry experts, national guidelines and our own clinicians, we strive to improve our offerings across all women’s health areas. Whether a solution is focused on pregnancy, OB/GYN or breast cancer clinics, we work tirelessly to provide doctors and midwives consistent, up-to-the-minute information at the point of care.
Maternity care in Ireland has undergone a sea change in recent years, moving from countless versions of paper notes to a single electronic health record for every mother and baby.
Ireland's Maternity Services welcomes the first babies born with an electronic health record The HSE and eHealth Ireland are delighted to announce the arrival of Emily, one of Ireland’s first newborns to have their own electronic health record from birth. Weighing 7lb 5oz, Emily, daughter of Ellen Shine and Aidan Cotter from Cork, arrived in Cork University Maternity Hospital on Saturday 3rd December.
Saving the equivalent of one full-time employee may not sound like much, but at Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust it’s giving midwives their sense of identity back. “They feel like midwives again. They don’t feel like clerics with a pen and a book,” said Kate Hicken, change analyst. The health system, based in Bath, UK, implemented PowerChart Maternity in 2014. The solution has helped midwives nearly halve the time it takes to complete bookings. The additional time allows midwives to build greater rapport with mothers-to-be and gain a greater sense of the patient’s overall wellbeing.
"It will make an enormous difference to have information available to anyone dealing with the patient as they need it. We won’t all be looking for the same patient chart."
— Prof Richard Greene, consultant obstetrician, Cork University Maternity Hospital
