CHC16 Day 1

Published on 11/13/2016

CHC16 is officially underway! A huge Kansas City welcome to our clients, partners, industry colleagues and associates to the City of Fountains. We're excited to share ideas, best practices and discuss the future of health care.

On Sunday, we kicked off the Cerner Physician Community (CPC) meeting and hosted the Revenue Cycle Symposium reception. Themes included patient engagement and owning that relationship. And attendees woke up to a front-page story in the Kansas City Star highlighting Cerner's work to advance personalized medicine.

Mary-Ellen Pich, Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) was our keynote. "Remember: you have the ability to create lasting memories," said Pich. "Are you personalizing their care? It's our job to connect. How do you make a difference?"

Dr. William Holland, VP and chief medical informatics officer at Banner Health, spoke to the crowd regarding critical steps to maximizing speed and execution when implementing change. An all-in approach creates ownership for decisions and universal buy-in with the results.

Dr. Doug Dickey, Cerner's chief medical officer, highlighted enhancements to Cerner solutions developed to increase workflow management.

CPC ended the day on a high note with the Physician All-Star Awards. These awards highlighted our most inspiring clients who have excelled inprocess improvement, adoption strategies, collaboration and innovation.

Day 1 of CPC concluded with a networking event at the College Basketball Experience and the Revenue Cycle Symposium welcome reception at Cleaver & Cork.
