A global perspective of open API development

As a practicing family physician and guideline developer in Finland in the late 1980s, I noticed a fast-growing body of medical knowledge and increasing access to patient data. But keeping track of all that data in a meaningful way seemed impossible. In addition, I saw there was a growing opportunity for knowledge authors to integrate information with individual patient data.
