Healthe programs to support your health

Healthe at Cerner is what we call our approach to healthy lifestyles for our associates and their families. Using coordinated health and wellness programs, we provide you with access to the right information and tools to achieve your health goals.

Through innovations like our on-site medical clinics and pharmacies, fitness centers at the WHQ and Innovation campuses, and a comprehensive health plan, our associates have the tools and information to make healthy choices to improve their well-being.

Specific Cerner Benefits

• Health Plan -- our nationwide (300,000+ physicians, facilities and ancillary services) plan gives you the security of comprehensive coverage with a focus on preventive care and flexibility with a Health Reimbursement Account. Preventive care benefits are covered at 100 percent for associates and covered dependents. We also offer the option of a health care Flexible Spending Account to pay for eligible medical expenses through pre-tax dollars.
• Dental Plan –- Our dental plans are managed by Delta Dental of Missouri. Preventive services, basic and major (crowns, veneers, oral surgery) services, and child orthodontia coverage are available depending on the plan you select. Preventive care (including cleaning and oral examinations twice per year) is covered with zero deductible on all plans.
• Vision Plan -– Our Vision Plan is managed by Vision Service Plan (VSP). Members are eligible for a yearly examination and either lenses or contacts every 12 months. Covered associates and dependents are also eligible for discounts on other services, including Lasik Surgery and PRK.
• Healthe Clinic -- Associates have the option of using the Healthe Clinic at either the WHQ or Innovation campus. Services include annual physical exams, sick visits, immunizations, lab work, wellness management and chiropractic care. Members can schedule appointments online and utilize secure messaging with providers through our personal health management platform.
• Healthe Pharmacy -– Located within the Healthe Clinic, the Healthe Pharmacy gives you convenient access to prescriptions and provides significant savings on prescription and over the counter medications. Our pharmacists interact with you to ensure you understand the treatment protocol for each medication. On average, costs at the Healthe Pharmacy are from 20-90 percent less than at community pharmacies.

Supporting associates in all aspects of life

Our holistic approach to associate health and well-being includes the Associate Assistance Program, insurance plans and always valuable vacation and holiday time off.

Associate Assistance Program

The Associate Assistance Program, offered at no cost for associates and family members, includes six confidential counseling visits per year. IT also offers prenatal health/adoption information, childcare and elder-care referrals, and financial and legal referrals.

Insurance Plans

The following insurance plans are offered at no cost to associates:

• Basic Life Insurance
• Accidental Death and Dismemberment
• Travel Medical Insurance
• Travel Life Insurance

Time Off

Our associates receive between 80 and 160 hours of vacation per year, based on how long they have worked at Cerner and their role. Our associates also get eight paid holidays per year, plus one personal day per year.

Programs for your financial health

Whether your goal is saving for retirement, paying for childcare, building wealth, or all of those, we have programs to help you achieve your goals.

Retirement

The Cerner 401(k) retirement plan lets you set aside from 1 to 80 percent of your pay for retirement. Cerner matches 33 percent of the first 6 percent of your deferral amount. A second-tier match is made annually based on achievement of corporate financial goals. All Cerner contributions to the plan are in the form of Cerner stock.

Stock Purchase Plan

We offer an Associate Stock Purchase Plan (ASPP), which allows you to use post-tax income to purchase Cerner stock at a 15 percent discount. You can set aside up to 20 percent of your salary each pay period. At a pre-determined date each quarter, Cerner stock is purchased from this account at the discount.

Dependent Care

Our associates have the option of using a separate Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account for eligible child care expenses.

Valuable perks for Cerner associates

We support associates in a variety of other ways, including continuing education, on-site childcare services, associate discounts, and others.

Tuition Reimbursement

Associates may be reimbursed for expenses for educational and skill-development courses that are directly related to the associate’s Cerner career. Associates work with their manager and Cerner Human Relations to approve courses of study eligible for reimbursement.

Child Care

We offer child care facilities at our WHQ and Innovation campuses for children of associates ages six weeks to 6 years. The facilities follow the Montessori curriculum, which cultivates a child’s national desire and ability to learn. There are also special events throughout the year, including a Halloween Parade, Easter Egg Hunt, book fairs, and Take Your Child to Work Day.

Cafeterias

On-site cafes at the WHQ and Innovation campuses offer our associates a variety of healthy, affordable food. Our facilities feature fresh vegetables, fruits and meat all cooked to order every day. Starbucks Coffee is also available at our on-site cafes.

Discounts

Our associates have the opportunity for discounts on items such as fitness center memberships, professional sports tickets, car purchases, car rentals, computers and more.
