Mike Nill

    As executive vice president and chief operating officer, Mike Nill is responsible for Cerner’s core worldwide business operations including intellectual property, consulting, information technology (IT) transformation, infrastructure, managed services and client support.

    He improves the quality and effectiveness of Cerner’s delivery organizations by aligning all aspects of the development process, from implementation through management and support.

    A software engineer by background, Mike began his Cerner career in 1996, rolling out Cerner Millennium® solutions. During this time he built capabilities to help clients effectively implement and manage their technology infrastructure.

    During his time at Cerner, Mike has led the development of several new offerings, including CernerWorks, a world-class remote hosting offering. He also spearheaded the Cerner ITWorks offering, which further aligns the company with clients to improve quality and lower costs.

    Under his leadership, Cerner’s $4.9 billion cumulative research and development investment has resulted in Cerner solutions having the highest code quality in company history. This resulting in the most complete set of integrated capabilities in the health care industry.

    Mike is a graduate of Rockhurst University and has a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems.
