Yesterday, we held the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new campus we're building in Kansas City, Kan. Below are some pictures from this exciting event.

We welcomed more than 70 people to the ceremony, including Cerner associates, construction project representatives and officials from the city, county and state.

Cerner Vice Chairman Cliff Illig announced that the new campus will be called the Continuous Campus, drawing from our belief health care is continuous and from the job functions that will be housed in the new buildings.

Kansas City, Kan., Mayor Joe Reardon addressed the audience and discussed the successes of public-private partnership in Wyandotte County.

We were honored to have Kansas Governor Sam Brownback on hand for the ceremony.

Governor Brownback and Mayor Reardon joined Cliff and other project representatives for the ceremonial groundbreaking.
