John Peterzalek

John Peterzalek

As Chief Client Officer, John Peterzalek is responsible for bringing the best of Cerner to our clients around the world. John focuses on driving value, innovation and results to Cerner’s more than 1,200 clients in 32 counties. Additionally, he leads the corporate direction for revenue generation, solution strategy, business development, and marketing.

John joined Cerner in 2003 and has held a variety of business and client leadership roles. Most recently, John was executive vice president – worldwide client relationships. Previously, he was responsible for Cerner Atlantic, serving clients in the eastern United States, Europe and in the Middle East.

Prior to joining Cerner, he spent 13 years with Perot Systems Healthcare Industry Group. As a senior executive, he was responsible for several business units and large client relationships.

John has accumulated more than 30 years of experience in technology and software support, healthcare informatics and driving value through closely aligned relationships. He has worked in both the public and private sectors.

John is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa earning a bachelor’s degree in geography with a concentration in computer cartography and completed post-graduate coursework and certification at Rockhurst University.
