Chief Client and Services Officer
As chief client and services officer, John Peterzalek is focused on driving value, innovation and results for our global client base. He is responsible for aligning Cerner’s client-facing resources to the success of Cerner’s clients, achieving their desired outcomes in order to impact the health and care of their community.
In this role, John oversees worldwide client relationship management, sales, services, consulting, support, hosting and client success. Additionally, he leads the corporate direction for business development, client operations and marketing.
John joined Cerner in 2003 and has held a variety of business and client leadership roles. Most recently, John was executive vice president and chief client officer. Previously, he was executive vice president of worldwide client relationships, and prior to that, he was responsible for Cerner Atlantic, serving clients in the eastern United States, Europe and the Middle East.
Before joining Cerner, he spent 13 years with Perot Systems Healthcare Industry Group. As a senior executive, he was responsible for several business units and large client relationships.
John has accumulated more than 30 years of experience in technology and software support, health care informatics and driving value through closely aligned relationships. He has worked in both the public and private sectors.
John is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa where he earned a bachelor’s degree in geography with a concentration in computer cartography and completed post-graduate coursework and certification at Rockhurst University.
