Senior Vice President, Chief of Staff
As senior vice president and chief of staff, Kimberly Gerard has oversight of all administrative, and financial operations within the office of the Chief Executive Officer. She provides guidance on projects to ensure Cerner delivers commitments to clients and associates.
Kimberly joined Cerner in 2002 as a finance controller for the academic hospital market. She has held roles with the company such as region controller, services business model controller and financial systems strategy and corporate controller.
As Cerner’s previous vice president of financial planning and analysis, Kimberly successfully focused on converting Cerner’s short-term and long-term business strategy into a financial plan.
Prior to Cerner, Kimberly was a division controller for BellSouth in Atlanta, Georgia, and a senior accountant for FastWeb, Inc. in Chicago.
During her time at Cerner, Kimberly has been passionate about process improvement, financial systems and data-driven decision-making. She works to inspire curiosity and critical thinking in others, challenging them to dig deeper to tell more compelling stories with data. Kimberly launched and developed the Financial Systems, Finance Training and Development and Pricing Analytics teams for the organization.
Additionally, Kimberly makes an impact by ensuring that resources are allocated in alignment with the company’s priorities and enabling Cerner to deliver its mission through proactive, reliable and relevant financial analytics.
Kimberly has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Emporia State University, an associate’s degree from Florida State University and is a certified public accountant in Illinois.
