As senior vice president of business processes and corporate planning, Maria Houchins is focused on Cerner’s future success by increasing organizational integration and developing and applying strategic planning mechanisms.
Maria joined Cerner in 2020. She brings over 25 years’ experience in high-growth, multinational corporate environments where she managed planning cycles and enforced governance to create a positive impact. She has a passion for continuous improvement and business transformation, embracing the opportunity to drive collaboration and design improved ways of working. Ultimately, Maria believes in delivering results and has done so in a timely, cost-effective manner throughout her career.
Previously, as a vice president at Philips, she led the North America global business services hub. Her cross-functional teams focused on streamlining, simplifying and standardizing key functional support activities that helped to excel the delivery of solutions to customers. Maria held various roles throughout Philips that span program management, business excellence, finance and accounting, and she won two Philips President Awards for her efforts.
Maria earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University at Buffalo and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She holds professional certifications in Lean/Six Sigma, project and change management, and European Foundation Quality Management. She is an active member of the Tennessee Society of CPAs.
