Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer
As executive vice president and chief human resources officer, Tracy Platt leads the global human resources (HR) function, including organization development, integrated talent management, leadership development, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) responsibility, and culture.
Platt joined Cerner in 2019 with more than 20 years of experience. Previously, she spent nearly 10 years in executive HR roles at Medtronic, a global health care giant that develops and distributes medical devices.
As a mission-driven change agent with deep business expertise, Platt brings invaluable health care experience from Medtronic and other key organizations, including Cardinal Health and GE Healthcare. She has spent much of her career in a variety of business transformation-related roles, and she served in a primary leadership capacity during Medtronic’s 2015 acquisition of Covidien. Tracy’s most recent role at Medtronic included HR leadership for its global operations organization and driving an operating model transformation throughout the enterprise.
As CHRO, Tracy has worked to expand Cerner’s commitments to DEI responsibility, advocating for a more intentional approach to culture and community and advancing programs, processes and policies that promote a more diverse, inclusive and engaging work environment. Under Tracy’s leadership, the Cerner Charitable Foundation has also broadened its focus, using Cerner’s community outreach and insights from the Social Determinants of Health to address gaps in care and create a healthier world for future generations.
Tracy has a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology from Kansas State University and holds professional certifications in Lean/Six Sigma, change management and organization development.
