Chief Client and Services Officer of Cerner, and President of Cerner Government Services
As Chief Client and Services Officer of Cerner and President of Cerner Government Services, Travis Dalton focuses on bringing value, innovation and outcomes to Cerner’s global client base, including federal. He is responsible for aligning Cerner’s client-facing resources to the success of Cerner’s clients, achieving their desired outcomes in order to impact the health and care of their community.
Travis oversees worldwide client relationship management, sales, services, consulting, support, hosting and client success. He also leads Cerner’s work in implementing a new, interoperable electronic health record for U.S. Departments of Defense (DOD) and Veterans Affairs (VA), a historic effort to create a lifetime of seamless care for nearly 18 million Service members, Veterans and their beneficiaries. Under Travis’ leadership, Cerner has delivered significant accomplishments deploying to sites across
the DOD, VA and U.S. Coast Guard, implementing the Joint DOD and VA Health Information Exchange, and the successful data migration of 78 billion health records of 23.5 million Veterans.
Since joining Cerner in 2001, Travis has held senior leadership roles across its finance, sales and consulting organizations, including head of consulting and operations for its Investor-Owned Division, which encompasses many of Cerner’s largest and most complex clients. Travis also led the development and growth of the consulting practice for Cerner’s West and Canada regions, delivered successful implementations at more than 400 facilities and drove key client engagements, including Cerner’s first full computerized physician order entry implementation.
Outside of Cerner, Travis serves on the Board of Directors for the Elizabeth Dole Foundation and Host Committee for the annual Elizabeth Dole Foundation Heroes and History Makers Gala and serves on the advisory board of the Cerner Charitable Foundation. In 2019, Travis was named Healthcare Executive of the Year and one of the 2020 Top 10 Healthcare Executives to Watch by Washington Executive, and is a 2020 HillVets 100 honoree. Travis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Wright State University and Master of Public Administration from The Ohio State University.
