Single Sign On: Saving time and improving efficiency
To save time for clinicians, improve the user experience, and enhance efficiency of the EHR access workflow, a single sign-on (SSO) solution was implemented across the hospital. The solution consists of a sign-on device, encrypted ID card and software integrated with Millennium applications. The solution enables clinicians to access the EHR with a single tap on the SSO device attached to the computer using their staff ID card. This bypasses typing in different user credentials and making unnecessary clicks, allowing users near-instant access to various applications.

SEHA looked to reduce denials as part of the government’s Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) initiative. PBM seeks to introduce a key quality and cost auditing mechanism by integrating disparate government systems and smoothing the relationship between insurance payers and health care organizations when it comes to dispensing medication for patients.

Hence, it’s essential that the electronic health record (EHR) deployed in a pediatric hospital can handle the complexities of providing specialty care to our children in a safe environment. It requires specific functionalities, workflows, reference ranges and observations to support the work of pediatric care providers.
