Cerner and Fusionetics, a global provider of evidence-based performance health care solutions, today announced a collaboration to integrate Fusionetics assessment programming with Cerner's HealtheAthlete®.

HealtheAthlete is a web-based platform designed to provide in-depth management of athletes' health and treatment for sports medicine staff. It also helps manage and share athlete health and health-related data among members of the training staff.

Fusionetics health care solutions are designed to help athletes of all levels understand, monitor and improve their performance. The collaboration provides sports organizations and athletes access to Fusionetics benchmarking and analytics data, as well as customized treatment and training programs through the HealtheAthlete solution.

"For nearly four decades, Cerner has been at the forefront of using advanced technology to place the person at the center of health care. With this agreement, Fusionetics brings our professionally field-tested and elite-level practitioner knowledge to more athletes and their caregivers," said Fusionetics COO Ben Tucker. "People today expect a user-friendly platform to manage their health and seek information and techniques on how to improve their care. The goal of our collaboration is to support people to move better, perform greater and recover faster by using modern technology."

"HealtheAthlete's streamlined view of diagnosis, treatment and recovery information across the continuum of health helps sports medicine professionals contextualize an athlete's progress toward reaching their athletic goals," said Nate Hogan, general manager of HealtheAthlete, Cerner. "Peak performance is a function of optimal health, and the addition of Fusionetics programming to HealtheAthlete creates more opportunities to improve health care outcomes."
