Call for Innovation details

Cerner is searching for innovative companies or individuals to collaborate with and provide custom furniture, properties or experiential elements for our exhibit presence at the upcoming Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Annual Conference and Exhibition in return for a unique opportunity to promote and affiliate your properties with Cerner and over 40,000 health care professionals, tradeshow vendors and potential partners across an exhibit floor spanning 115,000 sq. ft. and more than 1,300 exhibitors, including Cerner.

Traditionally, Cerner has utilized owned, purchased or rented furniture through tradeshow partners but would like to explore collaboration with start-ups, incubators, companies or individuals to bring the Cerner brand to life in a new and tangible way. So, if you or your company are talented in woodworking, glass, furniture making, murals, etc. and are interested in gaining more exposure, then this opportunity is for you!

What are we looking for?

For the 2018 annual conference, the Cerner booth will be 14,400 sq. ft. and we're looking for innovative properties and experiential elements that help to bring the Cerner brand to life.

Cerner is seeking the following potential elements, although not limited to:

  • Networking, lounge or soft-seating furniture - tables and chairs
  • Meeting room conference tables and chairs
  • Custom lighting
  • Shelving
  • Sculptures

Selection Process and Criteria

Once applications are submitted, they will be reviewed by an internal Cerner committee and considered based on the following:

  • Applicant's city *
  • Product examples
  • Product turnaround time
* Cerner is headquartered in Kansas City, in which products made in Kansas City will be weighted favorably.

If selected to move forward in the Call for Innovation process, selected vendors will receive an email communication in the October/November timeframe. The vendor will then be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement and ship or deliver work samples to Cerner for further consideration.

Final selections for vendors to collaborate with Cerner for this opportunity will be made in the November timeframe.
