Leveraging Advancements in Data Exchange to Provide Improved Patient Care

The industry is taking steps to enhance data usability, so providers and patients can make informed care decisions. This webinar, sponsored by the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), features an expert-led panel discussion to examine how advancements in interoperability can help bring internal and external data together, reduce clinician burden by removing duplicated data, and provide a holistic view of the patient’s care history. We will also discuss how Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA) is going to help impact the availability of patient data through information exchange by all care venues. Finally, we will hear from clinical advisors on the work they’re doing to increase data utilization within their organization.

Learning Objectives:

After participating in this activity, the learner should be better able to:

  • Recognize how TEFCA is going to help improve the availability of patient data throughout the entire healthcare industry
  • Examine how organizations are leveraging interoperability tools to make data usable
  • Consider how to increase data utilization by clinicians at your organization
