Cerner i.s.h.med® clients and partners descended on the beautiful city of Barcelona last week to learn more about their EHR platform of choice at the fourth edition of International i.s.h.med live.

In total, around 200 participants from 16 countries joined Cerner experts at the Eurostars Grand Marina Hotel to discover more about the present and future of i.s.h.med in a thought-provoking collection of keynotes, presentations, workshops and social networking events.

The first day was focused on our i.s.h.med partners, who found out about the benefits of joining the Cerner i.s.h.med Member Program from ourselves and one of our first Premium Members, CommonMS. Also on the agenda were sessions about local collaboration, the link between people, devices, workflows and outcomes, and what the future holds for the platform.

Day two saw our clients welcomed to the venue, with the transition from R/3 to SCP, and the use of data to build a digital health strategy in Catalunya being two of the big presentation topics. The format altered after lunch, with plenty of lively discussions during the breakout workshops that were led by our partners and Cerner associates.

The final day featured not one, but two keynote sessions on the interaction between people and technology. In the morning, delegates were educated on emotional design, while in the afternoon, they were enthralled with how robotics can help disabled people live their lives to the fullest.

Alongside the keynotes, there were talks about the importance of HIMSS certification, and the digital journeys taken on by two of our clients who achieved HIMSS Stage 6 with i.s.h.med: Fundación Valle del Lili, Cali, Colombia and Ordensklinikum Linz Elisabethinen, Austria – both being the first HIMSS Stage 6 hospitals in their countries.

The German version of the video is available here.

One common theme throughout International i.s.h.med live were the networking opportunities that clients and partners welcomed with open arms. Occurring through the days and once the sessions had finished, they gave attendees the chance to talk about their discoveries and further expand their knowledge.

It’s safe to say that the fourth International i.s.h.med live was a huge success for all involved. Video highlights of the event will be available soon. We can’t wait for the fifth edition – looking forward to seeing you soon!
